Now the AI boom is forcing a seismic shift in the growth of the industry. And a whole supply chain of skills are desperately needed.

With immense competition from many engineering markets, the data centre sector needs to work together to capture the interest of young people to drive entry into the data centre supply chain.
Collaborating for sustainability
Founded by industry partners, the Digital Futures Programme runs across UTCs in the Thames Valley region at UTC Heathrow, UTC Reading, UTC Swindon, and UTC Oxfordshire.
The aim is clear – to generate demand from young people for apprenticeships, and to match that demand to the need for a workforce within the data centre supply chain.
